NICOLE PIERCE is a dancer, choreographer, pianist and teacher. She founded EgoArt, Inc. in 1999 to pursue a consummate and provocative way to combine dance with other mediums. She has created over 30 dance works for her company and maintains an active freelance career as a dancer, most recently in the companies of Caitlin Corbett and Marcus Schulkind. She works also as an installation artist and creates environments for dance and other live events that incorporate sculpture, video and sound design. Pierce is also known for her comedic spoken monologues that skirt the line between story-telling and standup comedy. Pierce is an active teacher of both music and dance. She has conducted master classes in dance technique at Harvard University, Tufts University, Chelmsford Academy of Ballet Arts, Salem State College and the College of the Holy Cross. She teaches classical piano to children and adults, and maintains a private practice in the Boston area. Pierce serves on the dance faculty at Emerson College and Green Street Studios. She completed her MFA at Massachusetts College of Art in the graduate program for Interrelated Media in May of 2007.

“...a beautifully trained dancer and a masterful choreographer, Pierce is an accomplished classical pianist, a champion bartender and a bit of a standup comedian.”
